I’ve been pretty absent since christmas.
every few weeks I’d think about getting back into embroidery, buy a new supply I definitely didn’t need, sketch out an idea or two, and then somehow never actually make anything.
I think I put too much pressure on it. I felt like if I was going to come back, I needed a clear direction, a proper plan, maybe even a whole new collection. the more i thought about it, the less I created.
so instead of forcing it, I stepped away for a bit.
over the last few months I’ve found myself coming back to the things that inspire me most: music, typography, bold colours and that slightly nostalgic feeling that seems to find its way into everything I make.
somewhere along the way, the urge to create came back too.

this hoop is the first piece I’ve finished in a long time. it’s simple, colourful and fun, and honestly that’s exactly what I needed it to be. not every piece has to be a masterpiece. sometimes the important thing is just making something.
more than anything, this hoop feels like proof that i’ve found my creativity again.
if you’d like to give it a home, you can find it here. love you, bye!
